IMAGINATION Project: Next-Generation CMOS Image Sensors

The IMAGINATION project is developing advanced technologies and building blocks for the next generation of CMOS image sensors, signal processing, and transmission standards. The project’s primary goals include creating ultra-high resolution and low-noise image sensors, ultimately improving image quality, compression, and transmission standards.

Demonstration and Validation:

Technical results will be demonstrated through prototype silicon, within machine vision and broadcast applications, and via technology demonstrators.
