CAVIAR Project – Successful Final Review
On Friday, April 8th, a consortium comprising Adimec and Grass Valley from the Netherlands, along with TNO (Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research), EVS and AMS-Osram from Belgium, ImVia and MsEyeTech from France, and 3DHistech from Hungary, partnered with Penta office and public authorities to conduct the CAVIAR project’s final review. The event took place at Adimec’s headquarters in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
The CAVIAR initiative focused on advancing imaging technology for sectors including broadcast media, healthcare, agriculture, and security. Operating under the Aeneas PENTA label, which promotes innovation across European Union countries, the project commenced in April 2019. Throughout its execution, the team navigated challenges related to COVID-19 restrictions effectively, ensuring strong collaboration among partners.
The final review highlighted significant achievements driven by dedicated teamwork and expertise from all participating organizations. Reviewers expressed high satisfaction with both outcomes and management of resources throughout this period.
Moreover, Adimec has integrated several innovations developed during CAVIAR into their latest product lines—specifically the S-65A70 and Q-21A230 camera series—which underscores practical applications stemming from collaborative research efforts.
Looking ahead, certain consortium members plan to extend cooperation through participation in another PENTA-label endeavor known as IMAGINATION. This upcoming initiative is scheduled to begin this summer.
