Adimec 25 Megapixel Sensor Clarification: Quantum Efficiency (QE) Equality
In our previous blog post detailing the three Adimec 25 Megapixel sensor options, there was an inaccuracy regarding the Quantum Efficiency (QE) curves provided. The incorrect data mistakenly indicated a difference between the VITA and PYTHON sensors’ QE performance.
We appreciate alert readers who brought this error to our attention. Upon verification, it has been confirmed that both the VITA and PYTHON sensors exhibit nearly identical QE characteristics. This corrected information is illustrated in the graph below for clarity.
Sensor Integration
The VITA sensor model is utilized across two of our camera lines:
- S-25A30 Camera Link compatible camera
- S-25A70 CoaXPress camera
Our PYTHON sensor option is featured in the S-25A80 camera.
Additional Sensor Variant
Furthermore, there exists a Near-Infrared (NIR) variant of the PYTHON sensor. Its performance metrics are included in the expanded graph below. Notably, this NIR version demonstrates superior QE values specifically within the near-infrared spectrum compared to both standard versions of the PYTHON and VITA sensors.
Both the standard PYTHON cameras and its NIR counterpart employ a CoaXPress interface for high-speed data transmission.
