Adimec’s QUARTZ and OPAL cameras have achieved full compliance with CoaXPress interface standard version 1.0 certification, making them our first high-performance area scan cameras to earn this distinction. These cameras successfully passed a comprehensive electrical compliancy test at the CoaXPress Plugfest during Japan’s Image Sensing Show (ISS) in Yokohama. This certification enables Adimec cameras to display the official CoaXPress-certified logo, guaranteeing full compliance with coaxial cable-based interfaces and offering plug-and-play compatibility with certified frame grabbers. This enhances development efficiency for inspection and metrology systems.

CoaXPress offers significant advantages including reduced costs, improved connectivity flexibility, and higher transmission rates over long distances. Unlike previous generations limited by expensive cabling and lower data rates, CoaXPress transmits high-speed data through a single coaxial cable with scalability via additional cables. It also supports extended cable lengths – up to 40 meters at 6.25Gbps or further at reduced speeds.

The growing number of compliant products demonstrates the standard’s maturity, paving the way for broader adoption across industries.
