Yesterday, we introduced the first model of the new CMOS-based SAPPHIRE series—S-25A30. This camera utilizes the VITA 25k image sensor and was developed by Adimec specifically for OEMs in metrology and inspection equipment industries who need ultra-high-resolution images at high speeds. Through proprietary camera design, the S-25A30 effectively leverages CMOS sensor technology in applications like PCB and flat panel inspection, delivering CCD-like performance.

Key Specifications

The S-25A30 is a 25-megapixel CMOS global shutter camera that captures images at 5120 x 5120 pixels with a resolution of up to 32 frames per second (fps). Using the Region Of Interest (ROI) function, frame rates can be boosted—for instance, achieving 100 fps at an effective resolution of 8 megapixels. The camera supports both Camera Link full and deca interfaces.

Advanced Features

The SAPPHIRE series includes a specialized defect pixel correction algorithm optimized for large-area scan image sensors. This ensures high image uniformity despite common defects in such sensors, enabling stable performance even under heavy workloads. Designed for 24/7 reliability, the S-25A30 consistently delivers high-quality images essential for inline inspection systems.
