Adimec Unveils High-Performance Camera Series at ITE Yokohama
At this year’s International Technical Exhibition (ITE) in Yokohama, Japan, from December 5th to 7th, Adimec will showcase significant advancements in its CMOS-based QUARTZ and SAPPHIRE camera series. These innovations include ultra-high-resolution cameras, enhanced performance models, and compact designs tailored for precision imaging applications.
New Additions to the Portfolio
SAPPHIRE S-25A45: 25 Megapixel Ultra-High Resolution Camera
The newest member of the SAPPHIRE series leverages ON Semiconductor’s VITA 25k image sensor and is engineered specifically for OEMs in metrology and inspection. Operating at up to 45 frames per second (fps), this camera features dual CoaXPress interfaces supporting CXP-6 configurations with a transmission rate of up to 6 Gbps over 60 meters. The use of coaxial cables significantly reduces costs while enabling longer transmission distances without repeaters or extenders, and supports power over cable for simplified setup.
QUARTZ Q-12A65: High-Speed Imaging Solution
This latest model in the successful QUARTZ series delivers 12 megapixel images at a remarkable 66 fps. Designed with proprietary technology for effective flat field correction and image enhancement, it achieves CCD-like performance while utilizing CMOS sensor technology—an advancement that enables its use in demanding applications like semiconductor inspection systems.
Qs Series: Compact CoaXPress Cameras
The Qs series brings the same global shutter CMOS sensors as the QUARTZ line but in a smaller form factor. The upcoming Qs-4A70/CXP model supports up to 68 fps and will be available for feasibility testing at the show before being released to OEM partners.
Enhancements Across the QUARTZ Series
The versatile QUARTZ series has been further refined with notable improvements:
- Frame-to-frame stability enhanced by a factor of 2.5, improving accuracy in multi-frame processing.
- Support for up to 40 flat field correction sets—ideal for systems using multiple lenses or lighting configurations during measurements.
- A redesigned architecture boosts power efficiency by approximately 2.5 Watts, extending operational capabilities without additional hardware requirements.
