QUARTZ Q-12A65: A 12-Megapixel Global Shutter Camera

The QUARTZ Q-12A65 is built around the CMOSIS CMV12000 image sensor, delivering exceptional performance with its 4096 x 3072 pixel resolution at a blazing speed of 75 full frames per second in burst mode via Camera Link. Its high sensitivity and superior shutter performance make it ideal for demanding applications like light-starved environments or ultra-high-speed imaging—commonly found in electronics inspection and semiconductor metrology.

Enhanced Features for Precision Imaging

Like its predecessors (the 2-Megapixel and 4-Megapixel QUARTZ models), the Q-12A65 includes several quality-enhancing features. Notable among these are Adimec’s Active Sensor Control, which supports local and global Flat Field Correction (FFC) capabilities—even for color images—and semi-automatic in-field calibration. This allows users to optimize camera performance according to specific temperature conditions without additional tooling requirements.

The camera also boasts advanced functions beyond sensor performance, such as signal-to-noise improvement through in-camera averaging and pixel binning, further enhancing image quality.
