Adimec Introduces Latest Enhancements to TMX-DHD Series at SPIE Defense Event
At the 2014 SPIE Defense, Security and Sensing event held in Baltimore from May 6-8, Adimec showcased new enhancements to its rugged full HD COTS cameras within the TMX-DHD series. These upgrades are designed to deliver vibrant color motion video for airborne payloads, long-range observation systems, and other sensor platforms.
The TMX-DHD lineup now includes two variants:
-
TMX6/DHD & TMX7/DHD: Built on 2/3” CCD image sensors and available in remote sensor head, cube outline, or board-level configurations. These models support a standard frame rate of 60 fps to eliminate motion blur for fast-moving applications.
-
TMX8/DHD & TMX9/DHD: Featuring smaller 1/2" CCD image sensors (optimized for alternative optical formats), these cameras cater specifically to high-volume land-based vehicle programs. They also support multiple interfaces including HD-SDI, CoaXPress, Camera Link, and mini-Camera Link while offering flexibility for integrated zoom optics.
Both series are engineered for seamless upgrades from standard definition to full HD resolution with extended operational lifecycles. During the exhibition at Booth #516 (#516), Adimec also demonstrated ongoing developments including CMOS-based systems, advanced image processing techniques, and integrated electro-optical modules.
