Overview of SPIE Photonics West 2015
SPIE Photonics West stands as the premier conference dedicated to laser, photonics, and biomedical optics technologies. Taking place from February 7th to 12th, 2015, this event brings together experts and enthusiasts in the field for an intensive week of learning and networking.
BiOS Conference Highlights
As part of Photonics West, the BiOS conference offers focused sessions on cutting-edge topics within biomedical optics. Held from February 7th to 8th, it delves into diagnostics, therapeutics, biophotonics, new imaging modalities, optical coherence tomography (OCT), neurophotonics, optogenetics, and tissue optics.
FFOCT Applications in Cancer Assessment
Fabrice Harms of LL Tech recently discussed the application of full-field optical coherence tomography (FFOCT) systems for non-invasive cancer assessment. These presentations at BiOS provide valuable insights into how FFOCT is being used to evaluate various cancers:
- Full-field optical coherence tomography (FFOCT) for evaluation of endometrial cancer by Alexis Bruhat et al., presented on February 7th.
- Evaluation of breast glandular proliferations with full-field optical coherence tomography by Ana Tereza Nadan et al., also on February 7th.
- Full field OCT and tissue elasticity measurements: a critical view by Claude Boccara and Amir Nahas, presented on February 8th.
Additional FFOCT Presentations
The conference featured several other presentations focusing on different aspects of full-field OCT:
- Large field of view full field optical coherence tomography for fingerprint imaging by Egidijus Auksorius et al., presented on February 10th.
- Full-field OCT for fast diagnostic of head and neck cancer by Frederic De Leeuw et al., presented on February 8th.
- Endoscopic full-field optical coherence tomography for in vivo and in situ head and neck cancer assessment with a rigid probe by Emilie Benoit àLa Guillaume et al., also on February 8th.
Adimec & LL Tech at Booth #4541
While attending the Photonics West exhibition, be sure to visit Adimec’s booth (#4541), which is co-hosted with LL Tech. They will be showcasing high-resolution, high-speed metrology cameras; extreme high full well CMOS CoaXPress cameras designed specifically for FFOCT applications; and hyperspectral imaging solutions.
