High-Speed CMOS Camera Demonstrations at International Technical Exhibition
At the International Technical Exhibition (ITE) in Yokohama, Japan from December 2nd to 4th, Adimec will showcase enhancements to its latest CMOS-based camera series, including the new SAPPHIRE S-25A70—currently the fastest 25-megapixel camera capable of reaching up to 73 frames per second (fps) via CoaXPress.
The S-25A70 has been integrated into several instruments and is now commercially available. This availability allows metrology equipment manufacturers to achieve significant improvements in accuracy and throughput.
Key features of the S-25A70/CXP camera include:
- Optimization of the ON Semiconductor Vita25k global shutter image sensor.
- A 25-megapixel CMOS global shutter camera design.
- Ability to deliver images at up to 5120 x 5120 pixels, with a maximum frame rate of 73 fps.
- Equipped with the CoaXPress V1.1 Quad interface (4 × CXP-6), leveraging Adimec’s new camera platform supporting up to 2 gigapixels per second data throughput.
- Ultra-low power consumption and fan-less operation in a compact form factor.
- Easy integration without introducing noise from heat-related issues.
- An excellent balance of price and performance.
Adimec will also display the Q-12A180 and Q-2A750 prototypes. The Q-12A180/CXP is the first CoaXPress 1.1 camera released, utilizing a CMOSIS CMV12000 global shutter sensor to output 12-megapixel images at up to 187 fps. With its Quad (4 × CXP-6) interface, it achieves peak data transfer rates of 2 gigapixels per second and supports high-speed transmission between the camera and frame grabber—up to 25 Gbits/s in aggregate (or 6.25 Gbits/s per channel). Powering the camera requires only one CoaXPress cable can deliver up to 9W, extending operation over distances of up to 68 meters. The QUARTZ Q-2A750/CXP is a new 2-megapixel model operating at speeds up to 720 fps via CoaXPress.
Adimec’s CMOS cameras are engineered for peak performance and reliability, offering high resolution coupled with superior image quality—essential for accurately measuring increasingly smaller critical structures or defects within advanced inline optical metrology systems.
Visitors can find Adimec in Booth 114 on the exhibition floor to witness demonstrations of these innovations.
