Allied Vision Technologies GmbH (“Allied Vision”), a key component of the TKH Group NV, has appointed Robert Franz as its new CEO. Alongside this role, Franz will also oversee the German 2D Vision companies within the TKH Group, which include industry leaders such as Chromasens, NET, SVS-Vistek, Mikrotron, and Nerian—all operating under the TKH Vision umbrella.

This leadership change strengthens both Allied Vision’s Management Board and the German 2D Vision group management with Franz’s extensive experience in strategy, sales, marketing, and product management. He brings a wealth of expertise from companies within the automation sector and vision industry, including his time leading Honeywell’s Global Optical Sensing business, serving as President for Rittal’s Americas region, and holding the position of Sr. Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at Datalogic S.p.A.

Franz holds a law degree and an MBA from TIAS Business School in Utrecht, Netherlands.

On Franz’s Appointment:

“I am honored by this nomination and the trust placed in me by the TKH Group,” said Franz. “I look forward to working with our talented team to develop both Allied Vision and TKH Vision’s products and strategy, and continue growing the business together.”

Alexander van der Lof, Chairman and CEO of TKH Group, added: “With Robert Franz, we have found an excellent candidate with a strong background in strategy, sales, and product management who will take over the CEO role at Allied Vision effective January 1, 2023.”
