At the Embedded World trade show in Nuremberg (Hall 2, booth# 2-440) from June 21 to 23, 2022, Allied Vision showcased an expanded range of options for its Alvium camera platform. The company presented a wide variety of new features and interface choices designed for industrial embedded vision applications.

Key Highlights:

1. Expanded Interface Options:
Alvium cameras now feature six different interfaces including GigE Vision, 5GigEVision, FPD-Link III, GMSL2, USB3 Vision, and MIPI CSI-2. This flexibility ensures compatibility with diverse industrial requirements.

2. Versatile Embedded Ecosystem:
Allied Vision introduced a series of camera kits compatible with embedded platforms from NVIDIA, including the new NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ module. The company also provided adapter boards for easy integration with Alvium CSI-2 and FPD-Link III cameras on developer kits like the Jetson Xavier NX.

Additionally, the ecosystem supports modules from NXP, AMD Xilinx, Texas Instruments, and Raspberry Pi, demonstrating the platform’s broad compatibility.

3. Long Cable Solutions:
FPD-Link III and GMSL2 Alvium cameras with Fakra connectors enable long cable solutions up to 15 meters for reliable industrial deployments.

4. New Sensors and Features:
Two new Sony IMX CMOS sensors (Pregius S global shutter technology) were introduced in the Alvium Camera Series, available via USB3 Vision or MIPI CSI-2 interfaces. The latest firmware added features such as a 5x5 convolution filter, adjustable bit depth for readout modes, user set saving capabilities, and precise timer control.

Strategic Partnership:

Allied Vision collaborated with NET GmbH (booth# 2-444) to present the full range of solutions offered by the TKH Vision Group at the exhibition.
