At this year’s VISION Stuttgart, Allied Vision introduced its latest Alvium 1800 SWIR camera models, featuring Sony IMX990 and Sony IMX991 SenSWIR sensors. These cameras are designed for industrial applications and highlight the company’s expertise in short-wave infrared (SWIR) imaging technology.

Key Features of the New Models

Sony SenSWIR Sensor Technology

The four new models utilize innovative Sony SenSWIR InGaAs sensors, which support a broad spectral range from 400 nm to 1700 nm with high quantum efficiency. This allows for imaging in both visible and SWIR spectrums using a single camera, reducing system costs.

These cameras are compatible with either USB3 Vision or MIPI CSI-2 interfaces, featuring GenIcam-compliant control mechanisms. They also include industrial-grade hardware and drivers, making them suitable for plug-and-play integration into machine vision systems—whether based on a PC or an embedded platform.
