On July 29, 2021, Allied Vision announced the release of its Goldeye short-wave infrared (SWIR) camera models equipped with Sony’s innovative SenSWIR sensors, specifically the IMX990 and IMX991.

These cameras represent a significant advancement in SWIR imaging technology. The Goldeye G-030 features the Sony IMX991 sensor, delivering high-resolution imaging at 656 x 520 pixels with a frame rate of up to 234 fps. Meanwhile, the Goldeye G-130, equipped with the Sony IMX990 sensor (1.3MP resolution), offers maximum frame rates of 94 fps.

Key Features

Both models incorporate Sony’s SenSWIR technology, which enables high sensitivity across both visible and SWIR spectrums (400 nm to 1700 nm). The sensors’ small pixel size (5 µm) ensures excellent image homogeneity and quantum efficiency. Additionally, the cameras feature robust, compact designs optimized for industrial use.
