On January 23, 2020, Allied Vision introduced the first models of its Alvium camera series equipped with Sony’s advanced high-performance image sensors. The new cameras include the Alvium 1800 U-040 and Alvium 1800 U-158, featuring Sony’s CMOS sensors with Pregius global shutter technology.

Cross-Overs in Machine Vision

The Alvium 1800 Series represents a cross-over between industrial machine vision performance and the compact hardware of embedded devices. Now available with Sony IMX CMOS sensors, these cameras deliver high frame rates, sensitivity, and picture quality while maintaining industrial-grade reliability. They feature screw-locked connectors, USB3 Vision compliance, on-board image correction, and precise triggering.

Designed for embedded systems, the Alvium 1800 models are compact, lightweight, and available as single-board modules or open housings for easy integration. Their cost-effective design offers exceptional value.

Availability
