Allied Vision has expanded its high-performance Prosilica GT camera lineup by introducing the new Prosilica GT2460. This model features the Sony IMX264 CMOS sensor, equipped with Pregius global shutter technology, and is now available as the company’s third offering of this popular Sony sensor family, following the Manta and Mako camera models.

Robust Performance for Fluctuating Lighting Conditions

The Prosilica GT2460 is a 5.1-megapixel camera with a GigE Vision-compliant Gigabit Ethernet port and Hirose I/O interface. Designed to withstand extreme environments and challenging lighting conditions, this rugged camera features a robust thermal housing. At full resolution (2456 × 2054 pixels), it achieves an impressive 23.7 frames per second, delivering high-quality images with minimal noise. Higher frame rates can be attained by using a smaller region of interest.

The camera also includes precise iris lens control, enabling users to adjust the aperture size for optimized depth of field, exposure, and gain without requiring additional hardware controls. It features a standard C-Mount lens mount, making it compatible with various lenses. The Prosilica GT2460 is available in both monochrome and color configurations. Monochrome models come unfiltered by default, while color models include an IRC30 IR cut filter.

Thanks to Allied Vision’s Vimba SDK and broad compatibility with third-party image-processing libraries, software integration for the Prosilica GT2460 is straightforward and efficient.
