Basler Expands SLP Feature Availability Across Camera Series and Introduces Cost-Effective Lighting Controllers
Basler’s proprietary SLP feature is now available on nearly all camera series including ace 2, boost R, ace U and ace L. By combining an SLP-equipped Basler camera with the Basler SLP Controller, users can easily integrate lighting into their vision system via pylon software. Notably, automatic flash synchronization provides a unique advantage that significantly reduces development time.
Basler offers two types of SLP controllers: integrated within its Premium Camera Lights or as standalone external devices for use with Standard Lights. With the SLP feature, lights can be operated in three distinct modes: continuous illumination, strobing (flash operation), and overdrive mode (higher light intensity). The ace 2 X visSWIR cameras will soon receive this capability.
Basler has introduced two new cost-effective lighting controllers to expand its vision portfolio. These Standard Controllers are available with either two or four channels for comprehensive lighting control in a vision system. This allows a single controller to manage up to four separate light sources, reducing costs significantly. Users can switch between continuous operation and pulsed synchronization mode. Control options include manual adjustments via hardware or web interfaces for multi-channel controllers.
These new lighting controllers are now part of the Basler Illumination Advisor – an online tool designed for early-stage development use. This free advisor guides users through selecting compatible lighting components tailored to their specific vision system requirements, streamlining the entire process and saving valuable time.
