Basler AG, a leading manufacturer of computer vision components, has agreed to acquire the distribution business of its long-term Italian partner, Advanced Technologies S.p.A. The deal is expected to close shortly and remains subject to regulatory consultation processes. This move marks another significant expansion into Europe’s direct business operations for Basler while aligning with its transformation strategy toward becoming a full-range provider.

Alexander Temme, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Basler AG, commented: “Basler has been expanding its product range and services over the years, evolving from a camera manufacturer to a comprehensive solutions provider. Acquiring Advanced Technologies’ distribution business and planning subsequent integration highlights this shift. We are thrilled that Italian clients will now access our high-performance computer vision offerings directly through one of our strong regional partners.”

Davide Nardelli, CEO of Advanced Technologies S.p.A., expressed enthusiasm: “I am delighted to join the Basler Group. I look forward to building upon our past successes and elevating our business together. I extend gratitude to all employees and stakeholders who made this milestone possible—this new chapter will expand our regional influence even further.”

For over two decades, Advanced Technologies has specialized in distributing image processing components and solutions across various sectors from its Milan-area headquarters. The company provides extensive pre-sales support through testing and feasibility assessments as well as dedicated after-sales service for vision equipment sourced from multiple manufacturers. With 22 employees, the Italian team will bolster Basler’s commercial activities throughout Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
