Basler AG Expands 3D Camera Portfolio with Industrial-Grade Stereo visard Series
Basler AG continues expanding its portfolio of 3D imaging solutions by adding the industrial-grade Basler Stereo visard camera series. These cameras are designed for robotics applications, enabling machines to perceive their surroundings with high resolution.
The five model variants in this series feature basic distances of either 65 or 160 millimeters and come in both monochrome and color versions. Each camera includes a pre-installed modular onboard software package tailored for tasks like object recognition and bin picking.
The Basler Stereo visard series is built around a plug-and-play computer vision approach that requires no specialized machine vision expertise. Onboard processing allows direct integration without needing an external computer. The included software suite offers six adaptable modules, each customizable for different robotics applications.
Meanwhile, the Stereo ace 3D camera models are available with base distances of 65 or 200 millimeters and both monochrome and color options.
This expansion represents close collaboration between Basler and Munich-based Roboception GmbH. Sebastian von Holdt, Head of Product Management at Basler notes: “The expansion strengthens our customers’ ability to implement vision-guided robotic applications through user-friendly stereo solutions.”
