Basler AG is bolstering its 3D imaging offerings with the addition of the Basler Stereo visard, a new industrial-grade camera series designed for robotics applications. These cameras enable robots to perceive their surroundings with high resolution.

Key Features of the Basler Stereo visard:

  • Multiple Model Variants: Five distinct models are available, offering base distances of 65mm and 160mm. Each model comes in both monochrome and color versions.
  • Integrated Software: The cameras feature a pre-installed, modular onboard software package. This package is tailored for typical robotics applications like object recognition and bin picking.
  • Plug-and-Play Solution: The Stereo visard series is designed as a user-friendly, “plug-and-play” computer vision solution, eliminating the need for specialized machine vision expertise.
  • Onboard Processing: The cameras include onboard processing, allowing for direct integration into robotic systems without requiring an external computer.
  • Modular Software: The pre-installed software package contains six adaptable modules, allowing users to select the most appropriate configuration for their specific application.
