Basler AG is significantly expanding its ace 2 X visSWIR camera family with four new high-resolution models. These cameras, available with optional USB 3.0 or GigE interfaces, utilize Sony’s latest SenSWIR sensors – the IMX992 (5 MP) and IMX993 (3 MP) – alongside existing models featuring the IMX990 (1.3 MP) and IMX991 (VGA) sensors.

Delivering Superior Image Quality

The ace 2 X visSWIR cameras achieve exceptional image quality thanks to innovative firmware features. Notably, the Pixel Correction Beyond feature dynamically corrects pixel defects commonly found in InGaAs sensors, ensuring a distortion-free image. Furthermore, the Line Noise Reduction feature, present in models equipped with the established IMX990 and IMX991 sensors, minimizes horizontal noise, resulting in a cleaner image background.

A Complete visSWIR Vision System

Basler provides a comprehensive suite of accessories to complement the cameras. This includes specialized SWIR lenses, illumination sources, and filters. Matching PC cards and the proven pylon software for image acquisition complete the system, offering a fully integrated visSWIR vision solution.

“Our new visSWIR cameras, including the high-resolution models, eliminate the need for cooling, a common requirement for InGaAs sensors. This allows us to maintain a compact design and competitive pricing,” explains Dr. Melanie Gräsel, Product Manager at Basler.

Key Features
