Basler Launches Dust Protection+ Upgrade for MED ace Camera Series
Basler is pleased to announce an immediate upgrade of its Dust Protection MED Feature Set for eight out of the 22 Basler MED ace camera series at no extra charge. The enhanced Dust Protection+ feature set incorporates a refined production process, ensuring superior cleanliness in the cameras.
During assembly, additional testing of key components occurs using custom-built test tools. These tools inspect the sensor with stringent detection limits, examine the IR cut filter in color cameras, and verify the cover glass in monochrome cameras. Any detected impurities are cleaned before proceeding to assembly. A final camera test tool review is performed on completed units, enabling Basler to achieve an even higher level of cleanliness.

Basler MED ace cameras are specifically engineered to meet the demanding requirements of medicine, medical technology, and life sciences. These devices integrate hardware, firmware, and software features via their MED Feature Sets, which help reduce development time while maintaining image quality.
The cameras utilize Sony Pregius or onsemi PYTHON CMOS sensors and can capture up to 20 MP resolution at speeds exceeding 164 frames per second.
