Earlier models like the LSP required a minimum conductivity of 50 microsiemens/cm for accurate readings. The PLP70, however, has pushed these boundaries significantly by measuring media starting at just 10 microsiemens/cm. This breakthrough allows its use in challenging applications such as process water monitoring and other low-conductivity fluids.

“The CombiLevel PLP70 performs exceptionally well across a wide range of media or during frequent changes thanks to its media-independent measuring principle,” explained product manager Julian Budde. “This ensures ultrahigh precision and repeatability even in the most demanding scenarios, including pasty, adhering, or foaming media.”

Equipped with a standard digital IO-Link interface and an analog output, the CombiLevel PLP70 enables efficient process monitoring and control. Its extremely short response time—less than 100 milliseconds—makes it ideal for fast-changing levels in dynamic processes such as filling lines.

Beyond its technical capabilities, the sensor features Baumer’s proven touch display, which provides clear information at a glance. The background color changes dynamically to indicate process status, making monitoring easier even from a distance. “The standardized display across all Baumer process sensors enhances user experience and simplifies interaction,” noted Budde.
