Baumer has broadened the OptoPulse® EIL580 encoder family, introducing new variants featuring both EURO flange B10 and square flange attachment options.

Modular Design and Key Attachments

The OptoPulse® series incremental encoders utilize a modular system, continually enhanced for flexibility.

  • EURO Flange B10: This is a globally recognized standard for attaching shaft encoders. It ensures high reliability in demanding applications, including rolling mills, paper and wood processing, and crane systems.
  • Square Flange: Designed with inch dimensions, this flange is primarily used in machinery within the United States.

Optical Sensing and Performance

The new variants, regardless of the flange type, are built upon Baumer’s established optical sensing technology. These encoders deliver accuracy and signal quality across a wide temperature range, from -40°C to +85°C.

  • Programmable Line Counts: The encoders offer programmable line counts, ranging from 1 to 65,762.
  • Load Capacities: The maximum axial shaft load is 40 Newtons, while the radial load capacity is 80 Newtons.
  • Output Stage Compatibility: A diverse selection of output stages provides seamless integration with various controllers.
