MAGRES BMMV 58: Robust Encoders with All-Magnetic Multiturn Sensing Technology
Position feedback systems for digital shaft copying applications often face challenges from high shaft loads and axial impacts or overloads. The MAGRES BMMV 58 series multiturn encoders, available in CANopen or SSI formats with a solid 6- or 10-mm shaft, are designed to withstand radial shaft loads up to 80 N. They serve as the preferred solution for modern digital floor selector systems.
These encoders feature robust magnetic sensing technology and deliver high-resolution multiturn feedback—up to 262.144 turns (based on an 18-bit resolution). Models with integrated CANopen or SSI interfaces are compliant with CiA DSP standards, including Lift profile (CiA DSP 417) and standard elevator communication (CiA DSP 406), simplifying setup while minimizing configuration effort.
The proven ShaftLock bearing design has been reliably used for over 15 years. Large-quality ball bearings prevent misalignment of the bearing pack, ensuring long-term stability. A protective metal shield between the bearings guards the sensing unit against axial shocks and loads. This helps avoid costly downtime and repairs. High-grade materials combined with precision manufacturing minimize radial runout throughout the product’s service life.
The resilient steel housing—tin-plated for corrosion resistance—is designed to protect against environmental factors while providing an effective magnetic shield.
