Taipei’s industrial automation hub recently hosted its highly anticipated annual event, Automation Taipei, held from August 23 to August 26, 2023, at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall. The international tradeshow served as a platform for showcasing groundbreaking automation technology and related industries, attracting over 700 exhibitors. Among them were The Imaging Source and its resellers, Nevis and Suretech, who collectively provided more than 232,000 visitors with an insight into the latest advancements in machine vision for automation through their offerings of industrial and board cameras.

Underwater Live Demo

A standout demonstration involved The Imaging Source’s IP67-certified FPD-Link III camera. This technology delivered high-quality images even underwater, enabling systems to detect and retrieve plastic waste below the water surface.

Dynamic Toy Factory Showcase

The Imaging Source presented a live demo in a simulated toy factory environment. Their diverse portfolio of industrial cameras flawlessly performed critical machine vision tasks such as color identification, barcode recognition, pattern matching, and metrology—key applications in modern automation and quality inspection systems.

Embedded Vision Applications

In the embedded vision section, The Imaging Source’s 6-channel carrier board, featuring FPD-Link III cameras, ran a multi-camera application. Separately, their Edge Camera model, powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX SoM, demonstrated advanced object recognition capabilities.

Reseller Support

The success of Automation Taipei 2023 was also amplified through the support of resellers Nevis and Suretech. The Imaging Source extends gratitude to these partners for contributing significantly to the event’s achievements.

Industrial Microscope Application

At the Nevis booth, a live demonstration highlighted the capabilities of The Imaging Source’s TIS 38 Series camera in industrial microscopy applications.
