Embedded Systems Insights: Highlights from The Imaging Source at Embedded World 2023
Last week marked another edition of the renowned embedded world trade show in Nuremberg, Germany. This event serves as a premier platform for showcasing advancements in embedded hardware and software solutions. During this period (March 14–16), The Imaging Source made significant contributions with innovative demonstrations centered around imaging technology.
Dynamic Showcases at Booth 2-540
Our presence featured cutting-edge applications, including the versatile edge camera paired with an NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX System-on-Module (SoM). This setup demonstrated the camera’s capability to execute complex part identification routines autonomously, showcasing its robust performance in industrial settings.
Integrated Vision Systems
The Imaging Source’s edge camera was designed as a compact imaging solution capable of handling standard vision tasks entirely within the device itself. This eliminates the need for external processing hardware, streamlining system design and improving efficiency.
Multi-Camera Applications
In another demonstration, we utilized six FPD-Link III cameras integrated with our 6-channel carrier board to create an interactive marble sorting system powered by an NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX SoM. This application highlighted the camera’s ability to support multi-camera setups over extended cable lengths (up to 15 meters).
Gratitude from The Imaging Source Team
We extend sincere thanks to all our customers, partners, and vendors for their active participation in making embedded world 2023 an unforgettable event.
