Linux tiscamera SDK Enhancements: Jetson/Raspberry Pi Integration & MIPI Camera Support
Linux boasts a robust and active programming community, making it an indispensable resource for embedded developers. Its open-source nature, combined with low cost, scalability, and ease of customization, has cemented its position as a dominant operating system in this field.
For years, The Imaging Source has been dedicated to maintaining and developing its Linux library, including the tiscamera SDK—an open-source project under the Apache 2.0 license. The latest release introduces enhancements aimed at boosting embedded application performance:
- Improved integration with NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi platforms when paired with The Imaging Source’s USB and GigE cameras.
- Added support for The Imaging Source’s GStreamer element on Raspberry Pi 4, enabling MIPI-based camera handling via a standardized approach.
- General stability and performance improvements.
Complete details of these changes can be found in the changelog. For more information on recent updates and additions, please refer to our latest blog post.
