Shenzhen, known as China’s electronics manufacturing hub (with an economic output rivaling only Shanghai and Beijing), hosts the premier automation show in South China: Integrated Automation Motion & Drives SHENZHEN 2019 (IAMD). The Imaging Source and reseller Sunvision attended the event from June 26 to 28, 2019.

The show highlighted automation technologies and machine vision as key enabling factors. Exhibitors showcased cutting-edge equipment, including USB 3.1 (gen. 1) and GigE cameras. One standout feature was a dynamic “mini factory,” demonstrating typical inspection tasks using various camera models. This setup emphasized real-world applications of automated systems in industrial settings.

Completing the display was a stereo camera system featuring DMK 38GX267 cameras, which simulated high-accuracy positioning for screen application and lamination processes.
