VISION China Shanghai 2019 Showcases Latest Machine Vision Developments

From March 20 to 22, 2019, VISION China Shanghai served as the premier machine vision trade show in China, highlighting cutting-edge advancements in the industry. The Imaging Source presented its newest GigE zoom camera (DFK 39GX265-Z20), featuring a 1.3 MP global-shutter sensor, 20x optical zoom, autofocus, autoiris, and Power over Ethernet (PoE). Additionally, the company showcased its latest USB 3.1 (gen. 1) industrial and board cameras equipped with Sony’s Pregius and STARVIS sensors.

Beyond static camera displays, a live “toy factory” simulation demonstrated real-world performance in automation and quality control tasks such as color identification, barcode scanning, pattern matching, counting, and more. Visitors could also explore IC 3D—a flexible stereo camera system—using DFK 33UX252 cameras from The Imaging Source.

To illustrate differences in frame rates and sensor characteristics, booth visitors were presented with a zoetrope featuring six different camera models.

The event was supported by distributors like ShenZhen Sunvision Technology and the China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG).
