Asia, one of the world’s most intensively automated regions, has seen rapid development as a leader in industrial automation. However, this growth is underscored by the expansion of its largest automation shows, such as the Taipei International Industrial Automation Exhibition, which now occupies two halls to accommodate larger booths and an increasing number of exhibitors.

The 2018 edition of the exhibition featured advanced board-level cameras with zoom and autofocus capabilities. Among the highlights were products from The Imaging Source, in collaboration with partners Nevis and Sure Tech. Their newest releases included the 38 Series cameras, which boast a USB 3.1 (gen. 1) Type-C interface and incorporate the latest Sony Pregius sensors.

Visitors to the booth were drawn to these cutting-edge cameras but also took time to explore IC 3D, a flexible stereo camera system. This system leverages DFK 33UX252 cameras from The Imaging Source and is designed for a wide range of industrial applications in 3D vision tasks.
