If you found yourself in a business setting on April 26, there’s a good chance you encountered groups of young people exploring your workplace—this is because the fourth Thursday in April marks Girls’ and Boys’ Day (also known as Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day in the U.S.). This initiative introduces students to diverse career paths while allowing them to gain hands-on experience with professionals.

The Imaging Source’s 2018 Event: A Focus on Technology

At The Imaging Source, four girls and two boys joined engineers and production staff during the 2018 celebration. Participants were introduced to machine vision and its real-world applications, including how imaging technology impacts daily life. They examined a 3D system and worked with a student project centered on virtual reality (VR).

The day concluded with a visit to the production floor, where students engaged in camera assembly and testing activities.
