Compact Design
The new Sweep Series cameras boast an ultra-compact form factor. The 5GigE variants measure 44mm x 44mm x 64mm, while the CXP models are slightly smaller at 44mm x 44mm x 38mm (excluding lens mount), making them ideal for space-constrained applications requiring minimal footprint and easy integration into existing systems. Their compact size enhances portability and versatility in dynamic industrial environments.
Advanced Color Reproduction
The trilinear layout of the cameras ensures precise color accuracy by utilizing separate lines for red, green, and blue channels, enabling JAI’s FPGA-based binning technology to enhance signal responsiveness or reduce noise through pixel averaging.
Trilinear Layout
JAI’s proprietary FPGA-based processing allows advanced imaging features like digital binning, Look-Up Tables (LUT), keystoning correction, and support for selectable output formats (8-, 10-, and 12-bit). These cameras also feature trigger-controlled exposure time synchronization and encoder-based delay functions.
Advanced Imaging Features
Designed for dynamic production environments, these cameras incorporate several advanced capabilities:
- Resume Scanning Function: Continuously recovers from unexpected stops by resuming image capture without interrupting data flow.
- Trigger Delay Based on Trigger Count: Dynamically adjusts exposure timing based on encoder input, ensuring optimal performance even with varying conveyor speeds.
- Trigger Controlled Exposure Time: Ideal for HDR imaging and multi-spectral synchronization (RGB).
Advanced Capabilities
The cameras feature a suite of advanced capabilities tailored for high-speed industrial applications:
-
Resume Scanning Function
Ensures seamless data acquisition by automatically restarting image capture after unexpected pauses, preventing lost lines or gaps in data flow. -
Trigger Delay Based on Trigger Count: Dynamically adapts to conveyor speed changes using encoder inputs.
-
Trigger Controlled Exposure Time: Supports HDR imaging and RGB synchronization with LED lighting systems.
Additional features include selectable output formats (8-, 10-, 12-bit), gain modes, color space conversion, horizontal pixel binning, and Look-Up Tables (LUT).
Ideal for Vision Inspection Applications
These versatile cameras are designed to address a wide range of machine vision tasks:
- Fruit & Vegetable Sorting: Accurate color differentiation and high-speed imaging support efficient grading.
- Wood Inspection: Precise monochrome or true-color accuracy aids in sorting and quality assessment.
- Logistics (Barcode/Postal Scanning): High-speed capture under varying lighting conditions ensures reliable barcode reading.
For other inspection applications, these cameras provide a flexible solution for modern production lines, supporting multi-spectral imaging and dual-sided inspections to boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
