World’s Smallest Dual CXP-12 Industrial Cameras: SVS-Vistek FXO Series Sets New Speed Standards
Since its market debut, the FXO camera series has made a strong impression with its exceptional image quality and rapid transmission speeds due to advanced interfaces. Building on existing models featuring 10GigE and CXP-12 connections, SVS-Vistek now offers new variants equipped with two CoaXPress-12 interfaces.
These dual CoaXPress-12 links accelerate data transfer further, enabling high-performance systems capable of handling up to 671 color or monochrome images per second for demanding applications. Measuring just 50 x 50 mm, the new FXO cameras currently hold the title of the world’s most compact industrial camera with two CoaXPress-12 connections.
Agony of Choice
Users gain not only technical advantages but also increased flexibility from these new models: Depending on specific tasks, they can operate the cameras using one or both CoaXPress-12 channels to achieve data rates between 12.5 and 25 Gbps. This capability aids in scaling existing systems as well as planning future solutions.
The third-generation Sony Pregius S sensors (IMX420, IMX421, IMX425) used in the original FXO series maintain their excellent image quality in these new developments. Additionally, an integrated strobe controller concept is retained to minimize implementation effort and cost for applications.
Cool Features
The temperature management of the FXO cameras remains superior, reducing heat generation during operation due to efficient CoaXPress-12 interface protocols compared to 10GigE models. This results in lower sensor noise behavior and improved image quality.
In line with previous FXO standards, these new camera models incorporate numerous industry-standard hardware and software features suitable for widespread applications across various markets.
