SVCam cameras are essential components in complex vision systems across various industries, including traffic telematics, quality assurance (e.g., flat screens), the automotive sector, optical metrology, and others. These cameras stand out for their exceptional image quality, reliability, and durability.

We continuously aim to provide innovative products for our customers. We are pleased to introduce a specially developed SVS-EF adapter for our industrial cameras. This adapter enables electrical control of focus and aperture using lenses from the Canon EF and EF-S series, which can be conveniently adjusted via software.

In the future, image processing systems must adapt more quickly and flexibly to frequently changing tasks. As such, they align with one of the fundamental requirements of Industry 4.0. New concepts are needed here, and a lens that can be dynamically controlled through the camera offers an elegant and cost-effective solution. Measuring systems can be optimized by simply loading suitable parameters without manual intervention. The depth of field can also be adjusted via the aperture if necessary.

Integrating lens control into the GenICam Tree allows GenICam applications to manage the lens without additional drivers, enabling rapid and time-efficient integration into existing platforms.

First-Class Recordings with the Latest Sensors

The Canon EF adapter is available in three versions for compatibility with our M58, M42 cameras, and in the future, C-mount systems. All SVS-Vistek cameras meet these requirements, allowing most of our cameras to use Canon optics optimally. This ensures ideal camera-optics combinations for a wide range of applications, supporting sensor sizes up to full format and resolutions up to 120 MP.

Canon Optics for Excellent Results

For over 60 years, Canon has developed and produced optical components, selling more than 140 million units worldwide. This success story is marked by high standards, such as the introduction of aspherical lenses to eliminate spherical aberrations.

Today, Canon continues to innovate with optimized in-house lens coatings and improved optical designs, which are perfectly suited for our latest CMOS sensors. This results in sharp, high-contrast images from SVCam cameras.

Additionally, cutting-edge electrical focusing technologies are employed. High-quality lenses equipped with ultrasonic motors achieve precise, quiet, stable, and fast focus adjustments. The system uses minimal electricity while ensuring quick start/stop responses. Lenses featuring an Ultrasonic Motor (USM) extension can be easily identified.

Comprehensive Product Range

With Canon’s extensive lineup, we ensure that your requirements for resolution, object size, and working distance are met precisely. Our product range includes macro optics for close-up shots, telephoto lenses for capturing small objects from long distances, wide-angle lenses, and standard focal lengths commonly used in industrial applications.

We recommend using prime lenses whenever possible. These lenses typically have fewer elements and provide sharper, higher-quality images compared to zoom lenses. Below is a selection of recommended optics; we also offer telescopes with focal lengths above 200mm but do not list them here.
