The latest addition to our high-resolution SHR camera series, the shr461CX, features Sony’s IMX461 rolling shutter sensor. This cutting-edge model delivers an impressive resolution of 14,192 x 10,640 pixels and matches its predecessor, the shr411, in terms of exceptional image quality.

The Demand for Superior Detail Resolution

Automated image processing is increasingly vital in industrial settings where high-resolution imaging is critical. The shr461CX excels by offering both ultra-high resolution (over 100 megapixels) and outstanding image quality. Its standout feature is a dynamic range of 82 dB, achieved through an advanced sensor design and thermal engineering.

The sensor operates with minimal noise, ensuring top-tier image quality while allowing the camera to function at its maximum operating temperature of 70 °C—significantly higher than standard industrial cameras with comparable resolution. This thermal resilience makes the shr461CX ideal for challenging environments where other cameras fall short.

Versatility in Lens Compatibility

The shr461CX’s compact 4:3 half-format sensor, featuring a user-friendly pixel pitch of 3.76 µm and an M72 mount, is compatible with a wide range of lenses, making it adaptable to various applications.

Advanced Features for Rapid Integration

Designed for seamless integration into projects, the shr461CX includes essential functionalities such as look-up tables, ROI (Region of Interest), shading correction, and defect pixel compensation. Additional features like a sequencer and an integrated 4-channel power flash controller are also built-in, all accessible via GenICam through SVS-Vistek’s standard interface.

High-Speed CoaXPress Interface

The camera supports four CoaXPress-6 lanes for rapid data transfer to host systems. At full resolution, it can achieve up to 6.1 frames per second (fps), enabling nearly 630 MB/s of bandwidth—ideal for demanding applications requiring low latency and real-time processing. Power over CoaXPress further enhances its usability by allowing the interface to supply power directly to the camera.

Expanding into New Markets

While high-resolution cameras have traditionally been used in display (FPD) and surface inspection, the shr461CX’s combination of superior image quality and competitive pricing positions it as a gateway to new markets and applications. Available for immediate purchase, this model is ready to meet evolving industry needs.
