Roots and Growth:
Ulf Weißer founded Vis-Tek on July 13, 1987, initially as a distributor of optoelectronic components and a systems integrator. In 1998, the company evolved into SVS-VISTEK GmbH, marking a significant milestone in its history through its collaboration with Walter Denk.

Pioneering Industrial Cameras

In 1999, SVS-Vistek began designing and manufacturing industrial cameras for machine vision—a leap that solidified its position as an industry innovator. Andreas Schaarschmidt joined the team in 2009 as a third shareholder, expanding marketing efforts globally.

SVS-Vistek has rapidly grown into an expert in advanced camera systems, particularly ultra-high-resolution CCD and CMOS sensors for factory automation applications. This focus on performance and reliability continues to propel the company forward.

Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence

From July 14–15, 2017, SVS-Vistek honored its thirty-year milestone with internal events—a testament to its strong culture and future ambitions. Walter Denk shared his vision:
