Every two years, Stuttgart hosts VISION—a major trade show in the machine vision sector. In 2016, it once again lived up to its reputation as an exhibition of excellence: over 10,000 attendees from 58 countries visited the booths of the 441 participating companies, discovering the latest trends and innovations. Among them were SVS-Vistek’s technical highlights, which distinguished themselves through high-quality products.
Many Highlights at the SVS-Vistek Fair Stand
Live demos of the HR25 (80 fps / 25 megapixels) and SHR47 (47 megapixels) generated significant interest. A KUKA industrial robot equipped with an EXO camera (12MP Sony IMX sensor) drew large crowds to the SVS-Vistek booth. This setup showcased a complete imaging solution: the industrial camera managed focus, zoom, and flash lighting without any additional controller, demonstrating minimal equipment requirements for robotic vision applications. Furthermore, downstream image processing based on GenICam was demonstrated, highlighting how easily such systems can be implemented with SVS-Vistek cameras.
“VISION 2016 was another complete success for us,” stated CMO Andreas Schaarschmidt. “Our long-term delivery commitments for CCD cameras and dedication to industrial robustness received particular praise during fair discussions.”
Upcoming Trade Show: ITE Yokohama
After VISION, the SVS-Vistek trade show team traveled to Japan as the year concluded. Next on the schedule is ITE Yokohama from December 7–9. Building on the overwhelmingly positive response at VISION, all attention will be on CMOS-based EXO models with Sony IMX sensors and the HR and SHR47 series (up to 47 megapixels) in Yokohama.
