High-Resolution Imaging Solutions with resolutions of 12 MP and 25 MP,
The HR series introduces four cutting-edge models built on a familiar form factor. These cameras deliver exceptional performance with resolutions of 12 MP and 25 MP, supporting both CoaXPress and Camera Link Full for high-resolution imaging at rapid speeds.
Modern CMOS sensors inherently support high frame rates due to their multi-readout architecture, which drives the need for bandwidth-intensive interfaces like CoaXPress (CXP). CXP enables transmission speeds up to 25 GBit/s per coaxial cable, handling data, control signals, and power delivery (up to 13 Watts) over a single cable. It also offers Camera Link Full as a reliable alternative with data rates of up to 5.44Gbit/s (680 MB/s).
Both interfaces ensure secure, lossless video transmission tailored for high-end applications, requiring compatible frame grabbers in the host PC.
The HR series integrates advanced global shutter CMOS sensors from ON Semiconductor—Python 25k and KAC12040—to address challenges like inspecting high-definition displays, solar cells, surface quality, and 3D measurements.
Notable models include:
- HR25: A 5120 x 5120 pixel sensor with a 4.5 µm pitch (equivalent to 35 mm film). Using CoaXPress, it achieves an impressive 80 frames/sec at full resolution; the Camera Link version reaches 30 frames/sec.
- HR12040: A 4000 x 3000 pixel sensor with a 4.7 µm pitch (equivalent to 4/3“ format). It supports 75 frames/sec via CoaXPress and 65 frames/sec via Camera Link Full.
All HR models share key features, such as fully scalable regions of interest (ROI) for reducing data transmission while maximizing frame rates, and adjustable bit-depth options (8 or 10 bits) to suit application requirements.
The extensive control interface simplifies synchronization with the host system and integration into inspection workflows via an SDK.
