Teledyne DALSA today announced the launch of its latest thermal camera platform – MicroCalibir™. Designed as a compact and low-power solution, this uncooled infrared camera is ideal for OEM drones, handheld devices, helmet-mounted systems, and vehicle integration applications.

At its core lies Teledyne DALSA’s proprietary 12 μm microbolometer pixel technology integrated with a deep-ADC ROIC circuit design. This innovative combination delivers an impressive intra-scene temperature range of 1000°C while maintaining sub-50mK NETD levels.

Featuring dimensions of just 21 x 21 mm, the MicroCalibir offers exceptional Size Weight and Power (SWaP) optimization for lightweight infrared imaging applications with high dynamic range capabilities.

The platform supports advanced noise filtering algorithms that can achieve sub-30mK NETD performance levels. Users can configure resolution, field of view, and frame rate to optimize thermal performance in various applications including UAVs, security surveillance, outdoor recreation systems, firefighting, and more.

Configuration Options

Available in both QVGA and VGA resolutions, the MicroCalibir platform offers flexibility with multiple lens options. Its modular architecture supports today’s standard interfaces while ensuring future compatibility through planned CSI2 integration later this year.
