Teledyne Unifies MEMS Capabilities Through Strategic Expansion
Bromont, CANADA – June 30, 2020
In a strategic move to bolster its position in the MEMS and semiconductor industry, Teledyne DALSA and Teledyne Micralyne have announced enhanced capabilities via a new brochure and video. Both companies are subsidiaries of Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY).
Teledyne’s Bromont facility has expanded significantly since 2019. The site increased its capacity by over 20% through the expansion of its 200mm MEMS production line, while simultaneously growing its clean room space by an additional 40% following the acquisition of Micralyne.
This combination leverages decades of industry experience and extensive process expertise to deliver rigorous product and intellectual property protection. The merged operations now feature two 150mm production lines alongside the expanded 200mm capacity, along with new material capabilities and processes.
“The integration of Bromont’s pure-play foundry with Edmonton represents more than just a merger – it brings together best practices from formerly independent facilities,” explained Claude Jean, Executive Vice President and General Manager at Teledyne MEMS. “This adds approximately 250 years of collective development experience to our technical capabilities.”
Teledyne continues to expand its leadership in MEMS manufacturing by providing experienced-based solutions for development, prototyping, and high-volume production across multiple growth markets.
For detailed information about these advancements, readers can explore the new MEMS capabilities brochure and video available on the company website.
