Waterloo, CANADA – May 25, 2021

Teledyne Imaging, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies [NYSE: TDY] and a global leader in machine vision, has announced the launch of the Linea™ Lite family of line scan cameras. These new cameras are designed for a wide range of industrial applications and feature a significantly smaller footprint—45% reduced compared to the original Linea series. The innovation is built on a proprietary CMOS image sensor developed by Teledyne Imaging, further expanding the capabilities of their low-cost, high-value camera line.

The Linea Lite cameras offer flexibility in performance settings, allowing users to choose between high full well mode and high responsivity mode through simple gain adjustments. They are available in 2k and 4k resolutions, supporting both monochrome and bilinear color outputs. Key features include support for multiple regions of interest (ROI), programmable coefficient sets, Precision Time Protocol (PTP), and TurboDrive™ technology. With a GigE interface and Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities, these cameras are ideal for tasks such as secondary battery inspection, optical sorting, printed materials analysis, packaging verification, and other industrial vision applications.

In tandem with the camera release, Teledyne Imaging has introduced Sapera Z-Expert, part of the Sapera LT SDK version 8.60 update. This new graphical tool provides a user-friendly interface for configuring the Z-Trak family of 3D profile sensors. Users can create a unified measurement space using up to 16 sensors, visualize profiles and 3D surfaces in real-time, and utilize a multi-sensor synchronization wizard to streamline complex setups.
