Designed for ultra-high resolution applications in electronics inspection, surveillance, and microscopy, this innovative sensor leverages TowerJazz’s cutting-edge 2.5µm global shutter pixel technology.

Key Features

The Emerald family of sensors is manufactured exclusively by TowerJazz using their advanced 65nm process platform at the Uozu facility in Japan. The 2.5µm pixel size, one of the smallest globally, offers exceptional performance with low noise and high sensitivity. This sensor achieves a remarkable shutter efficiency exceeding 80dB, enabling superior image capture even under challenging conditions.

The unique pixel design incorporates light pipe technology that significantly enhances angular response while maintaining compact dimensions. These characteristics make it ideal for detecting minute defects during manufacturing, thereby improving overall yield rates.

Advanced Capabilities

Emerald sensors support various high-speed interfaces including Camera Link HS and CoaXPress, with HDR modes offering up to 120dB dynamic range. The innovative Region of Interest (ROI) mode allows simultaneous capture under different exposure settings, further expanding the sensor’s versatility in complex imaging scenarios.
