On April 11th, 2018, at The Vision Show in Boston, MA, Teledyne e2v—a global innovator of imaging solutions—was presented with a Silver Award for its OctoPlus line scan cameras designed for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). This recognition came from the Fourth Annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards.

The entries were evaluated based on originality, innovation, and their positive impact on designers, systems integrators, and end users. Judging criteria also emphasized whether the product addressed an unmet market need or leveraged novel technology.

Teledyne e2v’s OctoPlus line scan cameras were selected by a panel of experienced systems integrators, consultants, and academics specializing in image processing and machine vision systems. These cameras are tailored for OCT applications in healthcare and industrial markets, serving as critical imaging components for the next generation of OCT workstations.

Key features include a unique sensor design with tall-pixels (10 x 20µm or 10 x 200µm), low power consumption (<3W), and speeds up to 250Khz. The camera supports USB3 or CameraLink interfaces and is available in 64 configurable models, enabling customers to choose the exact specifications for their workstation.

Alan Bergstein, publisher of Vision Systems Design, highlighted the program’s purpose: “This prestigious initiative allows us to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products and services in the vision and image processing industry. Our 2018 honorees exemplify companies making a significant impact.”
